Environmental & Food

Panel 286 (Food Sensitivity Testing) - $399

This is a state-of-the-art food sensitivity test that measures IgG antibodies for 286 food antigens. This blood test can help curate a diet and lifestyle guide for you to reduce and eliminate symptoms to adverse food reactions.

Food sensitivities occurs when the digestive system has a difficult time breaking down a certain type of food leading to discomfort, but is not a life-threatening condition. Food sensitivity is a digestive response, not an immune response as is with food allergies. The inability to break down foods properly can lead to anxiety, fatigue, gas, bloating, diarrhea and other unpleasant symptoms. These symptoms can occur within a few hours after eating with the main source of relief coming from limiting or eliminating the problem foods.

Understanding the IgG response from certain foods can be critical in shaping your diet to achieve better gut health and wellness, improving your overall quality of life. The increased awareness of which foods lead to dreadful symptoms can help you make better food choices to alleviate symptoms before they start!

Panel 295 (Environmental + Food Allergen Testing) - $449

This is a state-of-the-art environmental & food allergy test measuring 295 allergens! This test measures the IgE antibodies in the blood for a vast array of environmental and food sources. This panel is different than Panel 286. This panel tests for the IgE response that is responsible for allergic reactions versus sensitivities.

An allergy is a reaction by the immune system triggering the body’s defenses against a substance that is usually harmless. The body’s natural reaction against foreign substances, such as pathogens that cause infection, is an immune response that protects the body from and attacks the foreign substance. An allergic reaction is a misguided immune response to non-pathogens that does not cause a reaction in most people. Environmental and food allergies differ not only by source but exposure. Environmental allergies are triggered by the body coming into contact with the foreign substance through inhalation or skin contact during day-to-day activities. Food allergies are an immune response after ingestion of the food. Symptoms range from sneezing, itching, congestion, skin rash, gastrointestinal distress and in extreme cases, anaphylaxis.

Anyone can benefit from allergy testing to help them take control of their overall wellness. Understanding possible triggers in your daily environment and food choices are key to maintaining a better quality of life.
