ABOUT THE TREATMENT
The Renew 30 (Sensitive Skin Peel)
This is the gentlest and most hydrating chemical peel we offer. Its 30% lactic acid formula loosens dead skin cells to result in a brighter, more hydrated, and even-toned complexion. This is a great choice for your first chemical peel and ideal for clients with sensitive skin.
AHA Duo (Anti-Aging Peel)
This chemical peel combines glycolic acid and lactic acid to exfoliate dead skin cells and boost skin turnover, improving texture and tone. This multifunctional peel targets multiple skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, UV damage, and large pores.
The BHA 20 (Oily or Acne-prone Peel)
This salicylic acid based resurfacing chemical peel is formulated for oily, acne-prone skin. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble and has anti-inflammatory properties. This enables it to penetrate pores to reduce pore-clogging sebum and debris, while also reducing redness.
The Glow Peel (Performance Peel)
This modified Jessner solution combines 7% lactic acid, 7% salicylic acid, and 7% resorcinol to create a resurfacing solution effective in minimizing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone. This peel is the most penetrating peel we offer and can be customized in strength by the number of layers applied.
Who is a good candidate for a chemical peel?
Choosing the treatment that will be most effective for you is often a difficult choice. That’s why we’re here to help! We will discuss your options with you and then formulate a detailed treatment plan to ensure you get the best results possible.
Do chemical peels hurt?
Chemical peels are virtually painless. You may, however, feel a minor tingling or warming sensation during your treatment. Some people temporarily experience a feeling of tightness after their treatment.
Are chemical peels safe?
Yes, chemical peels are safe when used by an experienced and trained professional who will ensure your safety and comfort.
What can I expect during my chemical peel treatment process?
At your consultation visit we will discuss what results you would like to see and provide treatment options to give you the best results. At the treatment, your face will be cleansed before the chemical solution is brushed onto your skin. The solution will be left on your skin for a few minutes before it is removed. Our chemical peels are paired with a luxury facial treatment using premium medical-grade skincare products, and all AlumierMD chemical peel treatments include the following steps:
- cleanse
- tone
- exfoliate
- peel prep
- chemical peel solution
- therapeutic massage
- mask
- moisturize
- sunscreen application
Recovery
Recovery for chemical peels is minimal. If you have sensitive skin, some redness can be expected. Ensure that you moisturize your skin frequently and avoid heat and sun exposure in the week following your procedure.
Consultation
For a chemical peel consultation, our medical aesthetician will discuss your options, going over risks and possible complications, and give you an idea of what you can expect in terms of results and recovery. Our goal is to educate you so that you feel confident and informed.
